What are you doing this long weekend in Peterborough & the Kawarthas? Here's an idea: Enjoy the brand new Canadian Canoe Museum has officially opened its doors to the world (and it's a Peterborough & the Kawarthas story through and through!). It is a signature attraction for the region - but also an incredible story of business collaboration! From the locally led architecture by Unity Design Studio Inc. to the trilingual signage showcasing English, French, and Anishnaabemowin (developed with traditional knowledge and translation support from Curve Lake First Nation), every detail reflects our deep connection to the land and the canoe's rich history. 🌿 Chandos Construction managed the project, while R&J Machine installed the docks, its truly a community effort. Even local brewer Publican House Brewery & Pub raised over $30K with their fundraiser beer, Paddlers Ale. 🍻 We recommend checking out this community collab that celebrates the iconic Canadian vessel in a quintessentially Peterborough way (Plus, it has been named one of National Geographic's Best of the World Cultural Hot Spots). 🛶 #NewCanoeMuseum #InvestPtboKawarthas #WatersEdge #BestoftheWorld
